Trimetoprima Sulfametoxazol use in cats
A vet in Mexico told us that Trimetoprima Sulfametoxazol can be used in place of Albon to get rid of Coccidia in Cats. Is this true and what would the dosage be? I'm sorry, but I don't have any information on this, out information pertains to the use of medication in humans, not animals. Have you tried asking your regular veterinarian? I am on warfarin and just crack from Mexico. Can I take this? My findings state that there are potentially unsafe interactions between Warfarin and Sulfamethoxazole. Since colds are caused by viruses, it has no affect on them. If you use it, you also run the risk of developing antibiotic resistant bacteria.
