I am a doctor but not a psychiatrist my relative was taking quitipin for 2 years along with sertraline she was suffering from anxiety disorder. She stopped sertraline after 1 and half year and then quitipin after 2 years. My mother is daibetic patiant , She was having some breathing problem therefore she was admitted to hospital, She also having some problem of Physco in her mind, She was first treated for her sugar and her breathing problem , Thereafter she was seen by a phycretic who had prescribed her RIVOTRIL ( O.5) 0-0-1/4 AND QUITIPIN (50) 1/2-0-1/2. My mother has been on depakote 500mg tablet (1 every night) and quitipin 50mg ( 1 every nght) for 2 years now. She is constantly worried though not panicked. She talks to her self sometimes more than other times and hears voices constantly. Most of the time she is upset with the voices and other times she is peaceful with them. My daughter has been taking sizopine 125mg in night and pacidone 2 mg in the morning since last 3 1/2 months. She was taking Quitipine 450mg and risdone Ls 1 in morning and 1 at night from june 2010 to dec 25,2012. She is ok but she has drousines in the morning and get up only 10am.
