He Debbi: For me it really does make a difference. I type at work and kept getting tired spells and falling asleep at the computer. I would fall asleep, start dreaming and wake up and this would go on repeatedly and I had to recheck my work so much that I was not getting enough done. Provigil has really helped in that department. I rarely have that problem. I have been off the Provigil a couple of times and take 1/2 a caffeine pill (even though I'm drinking coffee, doesn't help) but when I do this I have to wait for the pill to work, where as if I take Provigil it works as a preventive agent so I don't get the problem to begin with. Stay with it for a while and you will probably notice the difference.
