***AVOID COUMADIN!***
I am an athlete and I was diagnosed with a DVT a year ago, after waiting 5 hours at the emergency with a broken arm. I took coumadin for 3months, 5mg, the same year. Now I still train and I am very active. However, my blood pressure raised quickly and severely in the past months. My doctor doesn't know the cause. I talked with the specialist who gave the prescription of coumadin and he told me that it's possible due to the use of the medication. He told me that some people end up with high blood pressure and some with other complications. THIS MEDICATION IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS! TRY TO AVOID IT! IT'S POISON... Opt for other medications.

Coumadin And Sulfur
Can you take Coumadin along with Cream of Tartar and Sulfur tablets? My mother was told there was an old time remedy to purify blood and get rid of ulcers/sores. I actually found a place that sells the tablets and was also told by them they work wonders for people with sores, etc. She has sores on her legs due to improper blood flow and a blood clot for which she is taking Coumadin. She is also going to ask her doctor before doing this holistic treatment but thought I would also ask a professional. Thank you. PS: she is not diabetic.

Warfarin (Coumadin) and PT-INR levels
I am 19 years old and have had 4 blood clots so far due to a birth control pill. I have to go every week and get my INR levels checked. Right now I am taking 4 mg on even days and 5 mg on odd days. My levels go from 1.7 to 4.4 to 3.8 to 2.4. I really dont like going every week to get my finger poked, especially at my age. Is there a recommendation that anyone can give me, like a different blood thinner, that I can talk to my doctor about? Or just any advice will help. Thanks

Coumadin (drug) vs Nattokinese (natural)
COUMADIN (actually a rat poison!) is a commonly used blood thinner with some bad side effects. NATTOKINESE is a natural blood thinner with hardly ANY side effects. Any problem switching from coumadin to nattokinese? if YES how (gradually, or...) if NOT why not ? Mike

I will like to know why is the drug Coumadin being discontinued. I am from Trinidad WI and I have been informed that the drug is no longer being manufactured. I will like to know what is the reason for this and what are persons like myself who have been on it for 22 years, to do or take in its stead.
