Guaifenesin INN (pron.: /wafnsn/) or guaiphenesin (former BAN), also glyceryl guaiacolate,[2] is an expectorant drug sold over the counter and usually taken orally to assist the bringing up (expectoration) of phlegm from the airways in acute respiratory tract infections. availability of or not of brondecon elixir
I recently went to my local chemist and was told that brondecon elixir is no longer available. WHY? It was the best stuff for a cough or cold and I want some for my bronchitus

Availability Of Brondecon Elixir
I too have been a long time user of Brondecon elixer for asthma. Because of the stupidity of a few who OD'd with the dosage the rest of us now have to suffer the loss of this extremely uselful medication. The theophylline tablets take more than 30 minutes to work whereas the elixer was very rapid. This is another expamle of something that was discontinued that defies logic.
