Why Am I Taking Stalopam Every Day

May I know for what purpose stalopam is used for?I am using it since 2 months but I don't know for what purpose iam using it...

As far as I know it is used to calm down.

Stalopam contains the active ingredient Escitalopram, which is an SSRI antidepressant.

Side effects may include: nausea, dizziness, weight changes and dry mouth.
