I Will never take this again, took for a full 10 days and had anziety, loss of appetite, depressed, did not feel right at all, and to top it off, it didn't get rid of my sinusitis!!!!!

They think my son might have mrsa and started him on this asap. After reading this page I am nervous about how it is going to make him feel. :( But I guess we have too! He is 8yrs old. Started it today. Still waiting for results to make sure it is Mrsa but I guess we can't wait to start med for results. With Mrsa you have to start fighting back fast.

After taking this drug for 7 days, I got a severe sore throat, knees and elbows started hurting. 8th day, shoulders, neck and back started hurting and I thought I had the flu. 9th day, broke out in a rash from head to toe and had a fever of 100.6. Called pharmacist and he said to stop medication and take 2 Benadryl every 4-6 hours and contact doctor on Monday.

iv'e been taking sulfamethoxazole-tmp for four day now for an infeced lil toe and feel terrible. just the thought of anouther 6 days on this stuff makes my stomach turns even worse. has anyone had the same reactions?

I have this medication that was given to me in 2008 when I had a cyst removed. I did not take all of it and now have an infected Spider Bite or something on my arm. Does this have a shelf life?? and is it still good?? It has been sealed in the bottle.

This is to answer your question yes it is okay for you to take Sulfamethoxazole. I am allergic as well and due to that fact I was given this drug.
