i am not a doctor but base with my moms case she has 2.7 cm kidney stone and she was advised to take rowatinex for 6 months, if your doctor told you so then after that 7 days u must consult again and you must go untra sound just to make sure that the stone has been totally dissolved other wise it will grow bigger.

i guess so caz my mom was diagnosed with 2.5cm kidney stoneand she was advised that medication before she had 2.5cm kidney stone then she went to for another utrasound then the stone was reduced from 2.5cm to 0.7cm a few months later then she suddenly stoped the medication because she thought she was ok then, but the stone was became bigger , it became 2.7 cm, so i advised dont stopped UNLESS your doctor told you to do so.

There seem to be lots of questions but no answers!
I have MSK (Google it!) n multiple stones. So far(which isn't very far, yet) I've found an old medical study that said R no good for treating/preventing infections, but it did dilate the ureters, thus helping small enough stones pass more easily. If I find anything else out, I'll post it prob on here but definitly on the Yahoo MSK support site.

08.05.2011 I was diagnose of having kidney stones .71cm on my left and 5pc's .31cm - .39cm on my right. Googled everything about kidney stone and possible cures . Got scared, so I stopped googleling and instead I focus on encouraging stories . Came across miles velasco's story which I kept on reading for 2 weeks while under medication . 09.20.2011 I had my KUB result and like her, both kidney also became normal and the stone is gone. Thank God.. Here are my Meds.. Buko juice every morning, Sambong leaves (drink extract from this boiled herbs) , ACALKA.

Sept. 6, 2011, Baguio City, Philippines: my KUB results showed a 1.2cm stone on my left kidney. Right now I am on antibiotics and Rowatinex (1 capsule before each meal, 3x a day). Rather too early to tell of any progress right now, but surely, I will post updates here for any future results. I'd like to be part of a study that will show effectiveness of Rowatinex. I hope and pray that taking Rowatinex will yield positive results.

As per KUB results last March 2011, i got .75cm stone on my right kidney. my left got multiple stones the biggest measures 2cm. both kidneys are hydro. I was instructed to take acalka and sambong tabs for 100days, 3tabs a day. And antibiotic for seven days. buscopan for pain. Having taken the above for 100 days. i then had another KUB. My right kidney became normal and the stone is gone. The multiple stones on my left had lessend into to 1 pc (2cm) and a ;57cm was seen on my ureter. i was instructed by my urologist to continue the medication for another 1 month. my right is absolutely cured (normal) and i can feel no paid already. My left kidney stones has already broken into small pcs measuring 0;3 and 0;5cm... right now i still take acalka and rowatinex. I will post the outcome after this series of medication, probably first week of september 2011, I hope this will give you some insights.
