Only took this drug for 4 days before I was on the phone requesting my Wellbutrin back. I honestly felt like a zombie while I was taking Prestique. I could not stand to take it even one more day. My live is feeling more normal.

I've been taking prestique for 2 years and I found it was the best for me by far, I;ve taken zoloft and others but i've forgotten their names for 15 years and I was going nowhere. I took prestique and things started to change for the better. My doctor gave me a blood test to see which antideppressant would work best for me and prestique came up. Its different for everyone. Don't let other comments deter you if your doctor has recommended it. I will say diazapams and anti depressants dont work and should not be taken together or they wont work no matter what antidepressant your on.

I agree with you! Did you decide on the Prestique? I just started it yesterday and don't know if I should continue. I am so scared of withdrawal because I went through a bad time withdrawing from Effexor

Did you have weight gain with the Cymbalta? Did you have to try hard to loose weight?

I am so happy for you and I am hoping for the same results. Just started Prestique yesterday but now I am thinking of stopping because of all the back responses. Did you gain weight? My husband is ready to leave me, I have to do something....quick!

Just confirming, you have never found a better antidepressant than Parnate? Did you gain weight on it?

I have been on Zoloft for the last 12 years. I started at the low dose and have maxed out at 200mg. I have felt like I've needed a change for a long time. Today my doctor prescribed Prestiq 50mg but he wants me to keep taking my Zoloft at a lower dose of 100mg until the Prestiq can fully be in my system. Has anyone that has sworn off Prestiq taken the med that way or did you all do a cold turky change. Meaning stop your old medication one day then took the Prestiq by itself the next...I am hopeful that Prestiq will help me. Will keep you posted how I'm doing.

I can't remember most of my dreams, but my husband says I talk non-stop in my sleep since I started taking Prestique. He also says he can see a huge, welcomed difference in my mood and attitude. I have been on it for about two months and we are getting along so much better. It has had a small sexual side effect for me.

I have been taking Prestiq for 7 months now, and am more depressed than I was before. Have been completely zombified, and the sexual side effects are worse than being depressed.

I have an issue with anxiety & have taken celexa, lexapro, prozac, cymbaltal & now prestuqe. I like the prestuqe alot, my only problem is being tired. The others either didnt work or made me dizzy.

I think you might want to consider being more considerate of people who might be turning to this drug for help. It obviously has helped some people or it would not be out there. But saying that "this drug will destroy you"...might be a little over the top...especially if it might work for someone, just not you.

Oh, and I forgot to mention the overwhelming exhaustion. I have been irritated with everything and just plain apathetic. Good thing I don't have guns in the house. I agree about the headaches and neck aches, but I wasn't sure it was from the Pristique or lack of Cymbalta. I have had patients tell me that they LOVE their Pristique and it has saved their lives, but many of them have never been on any other SSRIs or antidepressants. I do feel it helps some people but will absolutely not prescribe it unless someone has already has been placed on it and know how they feel on it. I will not subject anyone to how I have felt on it.

I have been on c Cymbalta for 6 years. I reduced to 30 mg for the past 3 years because of speech problems with it. I lost 15 lbs overthr past 5 years and have felt good other than recently after some major stresses..moving, remodeling, changing jobs, marital stresses, etc. So I tried Pristique. OMG, I felt suicidal, angry, frustrated, not to mention hopeless. I didn't realize how much Cymbalta had helped for the muscle pain I have. I am switching back to Cymbalta ASAP and see if the 30 mg still works, or switch to 60 mg..even thoughI have a hard time finding words with it.
I have been on zoloft, Prozac and Pazil in the past, and Cymbalta has been the best.

So how long does it take to start feeling better on Pristique. I am on day 3 and feeling nauseu adn tired. I was told that initially there could be some side effects but to just stick with it. So, when can I expect to have energy again?
Also, I read a ppost that someone was only taking it every other day because of the cost with positive results. I am curious if anyone else has used it this way as it is indicated for daily use.

I have been on pristique for 5 months! I feel totally normal for the first time in a long time. I'm happy and I feel like me again. I have gained some weight but not alot but I don't really exsersize so if I did it could be easily avoided. I have more energy n more drive to do the things I love. Mine n my husband's sex life is great. I'm back to dancing around in the kitchen while cleaning . Prestique has saved me :) n has given me my life back n I'm glad cuz I'm 20 supposed to be living the best years of my life.
