Being in drug court and being on probation are two different things. Drug court gives addicts an opportunity to go to long term rehabilitation instead of going to jail. Rules of drug courts differ, for example some do not allow any prescription drugs, if your on prescription drugs you will not be accepted to drug court. They can certainly deny prescription drugs, and even some over the counter medications. Drug court is a priveledge for an addict to get help and they dont fool around. If you break the rules you go to jail. If they did catch you taking ambiem they will see it as drug seeking behavior and send you to jail. Its not worth it. In drug court they make the rules and if you dont follow them its off to jail a you go.

I am on methadone i have a prescription and my probation officer told me to get off of it or she would make me go cold turkey. well I talked to my lawyer amd they cannot make you stop taking any prescription period. no mater what. They are not F***ing doctors ya know?? Also if they were to do it you could file a lawsuit... And you could also tell them that is discrimination against you if they give you a hard time man

thank for ur advice, and I got my answer. I used ambien the night before my drug test...I think they do a 10 panel, they are serious about catching people but my screens have been clean.. So the answer to my question in NO it does not show up as anything in a drug test...but of course I am not gonna push my luck!!

What type of test are they doing? Neither the Zolpidem in Ambien, nor the Ibuprofen in Advil are substances that are normally tested for on these urine tests.

In addition, they cannot deny you the use of a legally prescribed medication. You should just inform them of this, though they can ask for proof from your doctor, if they wish.

Ambien can cause side effects, that you should be aware of, such as: nausea, short-term memory loss, hallucinations and delusions.
