i wanted a natural hormone replacement. is this considered 'natural'? what are side effects?

TRI-EST PROG contains the active ingredients estrogen/progesterone. Some information that I've gathered regarding whether or not this is a natural product, states the following:
"Natural Progesterone is NOT prescription Progestin. Natural Progesterone is bioidentical to the hormones in your body. Prescription Progestins are chemically modified progesterones (Progestins) so as to be patented and thus can be sold as expensive patented drugs. Natural Progesterone cannot be patented because it is found in nature."
