my freind has an addiction to oxycontin she snorts it, and now she has dilaudid 4 mg, and she plans on snorting it to, b/c one of her freinds said that its like snorting oxycontin and that she would get the same high. does anyone no if its safe to do so

Hey, Am I one of the odd-balls out there that gets an energy boost when I snort "D's". I won't do any before bed or I'm up all night. I tried meth years ago and it put me to sleep. Whussup wid dat ????

You can snort at least 3 D's and feel a good high without it being dangerous. Worse thing that will happen is you throw up and lose the D's

Dude you just try and stop that shit cold and see where it gets you, withdrawals that could kill you. Though I'm sure your quite aware of that. It is very smart to not do it alone. Enjoy the ride while you can. My doctor told me that by 2014 all pills will be tamper proof !! It"s the people that think they can"nt die that hurts it all for everyone !!---I was using OPANA 40 ER--Now they are rubber and nothing to take it"s place--PARTY"S OVER !!!!!

Then obviously your on the wrong site and mind your own damn businesss as far as I'm concerned.U addicts that are currently still using and other trying to quit and if you don't like what is said then go read something else and stop bashing us who ARE HUMAN BEINGS and just because we have a disease called addiction doesn't make us bad people we are just stuggling to find our way so if you have nothing to say then don't say it at all and bring your negativity to a sight that actually cares what you say and get a life...we need outlets and others to talk to about experiences and how we can benefit and help one another...so bud the hell out.And if it was so easy to get help without paying 10s of thousands of dollars for rehab and treatment we would all be getting clean, but not a reality in this country and to be quite honest it's easier to get narcotics and whatever you else as long as you pay cash...then to get help-WITH INSURANCE so please people mind ur business n put ur 2 sense somewhere where people care!!!

It won't kill you if you don't take a lethal dose... which is quite a lot. Also, Hydromorphone is quite easy on the nasal cavity. People abusing the medicine is NOT what is keeping "people who actually need it" from obtaining it. Let me make this very clear; It is the NATURE of the drug. If nobody in the world abused these drugs illegally a Dr. would still be skeptical to prescribe them to you being as they are highly addictive. You people act as if a prescription changes the drug, somehow making it not addictive or something. Also, I can guarantee your doctor doesn't even know I exist and being as I have never been caught with drugs, nobody has any idea I use them recreationaly. Your doctor knows all about YOU, on the other hand. He knows you are building a tolerance to the drug. He knows that you will eventually need to taper off (since you are addicted) and he knows if that doesn't work you will have to go on Suboxone or Methadone in order to kick the habit. He knows that you will probably be on these for the rest of your life. It's okay though, you were prescribed them, which is what you will tell yourself everyday for the rest of your life; rationalizing how you are not a junkie.

i was 21 b4 i ever tried any oxicontin and it wasnt a problem i would do an 80 every 2days then everyday then 2 or 3 at a time i am now on methadone maintenance program and have relapsed twice so i know all about it and the dilaudid is alot cheaper with a relatively same high i just did 3.5 in 3 hours i am only 155pounds 5'9" with a higher than average tolerance to all drugs saty away from ALL opiates its the biggest mistake in my life and i have done all drugs in excess and can still do those only on weekends that crack and meth too which i do not do often maybe once or twice a year thats my opinion i hope it helps
ps never used a needle but i have snorted alot ecstasy was 1 of my favs especially for sex!!! hope that helps too haha oh and im from canada ehh

DO NOT TAKE OXYCONTIN OR HYDROMORPHINE WITH XANEX or any other lorazepam or antianxziety it decreases the sieizure threshhold (you are more likely to get a siezure) plus you can have convulsions and this can lead to Death

who in their right mind would sniff a pill any of them could kill you. very foolish, nevermind what it does to your nasal cavity. Lest not forget those that sniff these narcotics make it more difficult for people like me who actually need them to be able to get a prescription....just pisses me off to now end....have fun trying to kill yourselves....oh my my

Ya it sucks that u went thru what u did, but shame on u for what u did to ur mom! Have u considered that she may have been self medicating? I've been on every anti-depressant & anti-anxiety med under the sun... & nothing is as effective or efficient as opiates. U don't understand how it is to be depressed... Lying in bed crying & unable to 'snap out of it, cheer up, meditate' & all the loads of crap peeps spew at u... Or have anxiety that's so bad u feel like ur having a heart attack.

The last thing we need is to have anyone make u feel worse! Don't get me wrong, I feel bad for u but I feel even worse for you mum.

U r just stating the obvious. Everyone knows your facts already. The issue here is not whether to snort or not snort an opiate, but whether if this particular opiate is safe being insufflated.

Stumbled upon this thread wondering the same, as I've been taking dillies orally & know I'm wasting them this way...

you can definitely snort dilaudid. Just make sure to grate it with some sort of shaver like a cheese grater to get it as fine as possible. If shes been snorting oxy then I would start out by snorting 12 mg of dilaudid. I have a pretty high tolerance so i snort 2 8mg ones and take a half a xanax bar as well and i feel great. Also break your lines into like 6 to 8 little lines and snort them about 2 minute apart. If you do it all at once it's a waste because your nose can't absorb it all. good luck
