Refilling My Valid Xanax Prescription Early (Page 33) (Top voted first)

I only see one doctor and he gives me a 3 month supply of xanax. When I went the last time he wrote me out a prescription but I still had two refills. I had a friend and her husband passed away and I gave her some of mine thinking I would have no problem re-filling the prescription. I had sense enough not to go to the same pharmacy and not to give my insurance information. So I go to this small drug store by my house and I had to fill out paperwork such as dob, name and my DL #. Well they paged me to the front of the store and advised me that it was 7 days to early for them to re-fill. So my question is where can I go to re-fill a prescription that is valid written by the same doctor. I only tried one place, I'm guessing they must have a data base if you try and refill your prescription early (even without your insurance) does anyone have advice on where I can go to get this filled?

While I feel for you all that are addicted to Xanax, I can tell you this for sure. It is a drug addiction, like any other. If you take it, you are a damn fool. I did, and paid dearly for it. You are all addicts who need help with stuff. Life is messy. You don't need Xanax. You need insight and knowledge with your issues. Xanax will only make the anxiety cycle worse. What do you think people did before it was invented? Think hard. Trust God.

First, giving part of your prescriptiont tp a friend is hopelessly irresponsible, and is part of the reason we're in this mess. Would you let your mechanic remove your appendix?
Second, it NOT illegal to refill a c2 early. Although in this case perhaps it should be.

My Dr. gave me a prescription of 60 .5mg xanax with instructions to take 1 every 4 hours or as needed. That's 6 a day, so can I refill my script in 10 days? I have 5 refills.

Victims have no choice. Addicts do. Also, you will not go through withdrawal for 5 years. At least not physically. It is your choice to be an addict. There are plenty of other ways to have recreation.
Taking Xanax is the easy way out and in the end, you'll realize this, hopefully not to late.

Ive been seeing my dr for ten years now and am given 3 2mg bars a day with a refil each time. Over the last few months i have been having more panic attacks and anxiety in general because im ive been unemployed for so long, money is getting rough, and my girlfriend i livr with cannot afford to help for much longer. Because of everything going on i had to make an appointment for this afternoon the other week because i know i am too early for my refill. I havent truly abused the drug since brfore i started seeing my dr but before him i got them from friends (over 10 years ago). I now have an job lined up to start monday and will be added to my girlfrends insurance the first of the year. Im just going to be honest and tell him i took more than i was supposed to but im afraid even if he is ok with it the pharmacy will refuse. I only have enough for 2 more days and wanted to see if anyone had any opinion if being honest with my dr will help. I experienced withdrawal for a day years ago and asa m scared to death i will again.

I have a prescription for one mg. alprazolam sixty a month. This does not hold me and I have to go to other means to obtain my six mg a day intake. I am tired of spending hundreds of dollars to see a psychiatrist every few months and still being short at the end of the month. On a good note they always let me fill it early, somtimes fifteen days early, thank the higher power. I would like to tell my psychiatrist that I am wanting a significant increase but I dont want to tell him I am getting them from other outlets since that does not look respectable. Anyways, any advice....I also take 120mg of Methadone so I understand the reasons for doctors and psyches to be wary of giving me too much alprazolam but I have been taking four to six mgs a day for two years straight, I know that an increase in one mg's of alprazolam will help but I need to start cutting down because I don't like to obtain it other ways, and I do not like to have to be so nervous about my count constantly... Any suggestions on what to say to my psyche so that it works in my favor, increase without having to admit I take more on the side?

First, I would never share my medication with anyone. It's dangerous, people may react different to different meds. If God forbid they died because it was to strong, or they had breathing problems, you could be charged with this, so don't do it.Secondly, it is illegal and you could get in trouble even with good intentions.I don't believe there is a national data base yet, but it is coming.This is an addictive drug. Since you gave some away you will just have to wait.

Considering the law and actions taken, You are a Criminal. You gave your very powerful Drug to another person, you are lucky that they are still alive, and not in the hospital. Diverting medications is very dangerous, and sets a poor example for other people, you have no idea how much damage you could have done. There are medications that when combined create a Synergistic Reaction, it can create an overdose, actually a huge overdose depending upon the drugs involved. If you want to kill someone this is a great way to do it. I use the very same meds and your actions are why they established the cross checking system initially. Keep this in mind next time you "Think Your a Doctor" in my state you would be in jail, and you can bet that your doctor knows about this already. You may have to "Get along without them", since you hand them out. Your doctor is at risk as well, don't think they will be increasing anything soon, you are risking your Doctors License, to prescribe any meds to anyone.
