This is actually referred to as "lactic acid bacillus".
It is a member of the genus Lactobacillus. In simple terms it is considered to be probiotic bacteria or good bacteria. You can find it in certain types of pro-biotic supplements to help support intestinal flora and keep your digestive tract healthy.

You can also increase your level of good bacteria by eating fresh, ripe, raw, organic fruits and vegetables on a consistent basis, making them a staple in your diet.
